Conversation Calendar

    During the Civil Rights unit I had each student write a note to me on their conversation calendar at the conclusion of every class. I asked my students to tell me what they had learned, what they found interesting or not interesting, any questions they may have or truly anything that they wanted to bring to my attention about the subject. I used the Conversation Calendar as a tool to keep track of each student’s comprehension of the material and also as an activator for the next day’s lesson. I was able to clear up misconceptions and target struggling students in order to reach all the learners in my classroom by reading the Conversation Calendars and giving daily feedback.
